How to get an extract from the National Medical University for admission to a foreign university for Ukrainians

After the start of the full-scale war, more and more Ukrainian graduates prefer to continue their education outside the country. The reasons are different — someone is looking for a safer and more stable environment for studying, someone has the opportunity to receive a scholarship or grant at a European or North American university, and for someone it is a forced decision due to a long emigration. In 2025, this trend only intensified, and the admission of children, in particular, Ukrainian refugees, to foreign universities became part of the new educational reality.

However, along with the expansion of opportunities for foreign education, the need to formalize the results obtained in Ukraine is also growing. For those who took the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT), the question often arises: how to confirm the test results before the foreign admissions committee? After all, a standard certificate or extract from the applicant’s office may not be enough. For such cases, it is possible to issue an official extract from the NMT — a document that has legal force and contains the signature of the head of the UTSOYAO and the seal of the institution. Below we consider in detail what kind of document it is, how to get it and who may need it.

Why do you need an extract from the NMT and who orders it

The official extract with the results of the National Multi-Subject Test is a document that contains confirmation of the points obtained during the NMT and is certified by the signature of the director of the Ukrainian Center for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education (UCEQA) and his seal. For admission to Ukrainian institutions of higher education, a participant’s certificate and an information card available in the personal account are sufficient. Instead, foreign universities may require an official extract as confirmation of the authenticity of the test results.

The right to submit a request for such a document is available to:

– participants of the NMT of 2025;

– graduates of previous years who passed the NMT or took an external independent evaluation (EXE).

This may be relevant for high school students who have just completed their studies in Ukraine, as well as for those who have been living abroad for some time, but plan to enter a foreign university.

Order procedure: how to apply

The request for an extract is processed exclusively through the official electronic service on the website of the UTSOYAO — “Service for the creation of a request for an extract with the results of the NMT / ZNO”. This is a free procedure that does not require additional payments or intermediaries.

To apply, you need:

  1. Fill out the electronic form on the UTSOYAO website.
  2. Enter your personal data, the year the test was taken, subjects and results (if known).
  3. Choose the method of receiving the document.

You can apply at any time during the year. The standard term for making an extract is up to five working days from the moment the request is accepted.

How to get an extract: delivery options

After completing the request, the applicant can choose a convenient way to receive the document:

– In person in Kyiv, at the central office of the UTCOYAO at the address: str. Vynnychenko, 5.

– Through a proxy, if this is indicated in advance in the application.

– By mail within Ukraine:

– “Ukrposhta” — delivery is free;

– “Nova Poshta” – delivery is carried out at the expense of the recipient.

UTSOYAO emphasizes: transcripts are not sent abroad, even if the student already lives outside of Ukraine. In this case, you should arrange to receive it through relatives or acquaintances in Ukraine.

Important warnings and advice

Since the interest in issuing extracts has recently increased, there have been cases of attempts to obtain documents through third-party services or unofficial resources. UTSOYAO urges you to use only the official form on its website. This will avoid fraud, delays or receiving an invalid document.

Applicants should also check the requirements of the chosen university in advance — some foreign universities do not recognize the results of the NMT at all and may require their own entrance exam or language certificate.

For many Ukrainian applicants, education abroad became not only an alternative, but also the only stable option during the war. However, even outside the country, entering a university is a process that requires formal clarity, compliance and readiness for bureaucratic procedures. An extract from the NMT is only one of the documents, but it can play a decisive role in admission to higher education.

In order not to lose the chance and submit a complete package of documents on time, you should take care of ordering the extract in advance, and not at the last moment. And it is advisable to seek advice from specialists in the field of international education who will help assess whether the chosen institution recognizes NMT as an admission criterion. In the new educational reality of 2025, this is not about excessive caution, but smart preparation.
