The simplified program for obtaining a permanent residence permit in Canada has been restored: how to use it

Those who already have a temporary residence permit in Canada can now quickly obtain a permanent residence permit in the country. However, it all depends on the region of residence. Alberta has relaunched the Alberta Opportunity Stream Accelerated Integration Program. It is one of the most popular, as it contains relatively low requirements for applicants for permanent residence.
In February, due to an excessive number of applications, the program was temporarily suspended. It took time to review all the applications. In June, local authorities announced the resumption of recruitment of those willing to participate in Alberta Opportunity Stream.
To participate in the program, applicants must have valid Canadian temporary resident status that allows them to work. The candidate must live and work in the province of Alberta. Please note that refugee claimants are not eligible for this stream. Applicants must have a valid work permit and an offer from an employer, as well as work experience and have lived in the province for at least one year.
In addition, applicants must demonstrate a level of English or French language proficiency equivalent to the Canadian Language Test Level 4. This must be demonstrated by providing valid results from one of Canada’s approved language tests. The test can be taken earlier. However, the difference between the date of receipt of the result and the application for the program should not exceed two years.
As of November 1, 2018, the requirement to confirm the minimum annual income from applicants was abolished. This is no longer an agenda item.
Eligible candidates can apply anytime. They are processed in turn. All documents must be prepared in hard copy and mailed in a single envelope to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AINP) office.
