IAEA warns Iran is increasing enriched uranium production

At the Munich Security Conference, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi stated, that Iran is increasing its production of enriched uranium, bringing it to a level that can be considered close to weapons-grade.
According to him, Tehran is increasing its monthly production of uranium enriched to 60% by almost seven times, and by the time the next IAEA report is published, it can accumulate about 250 kilograms of this material.
“Iran will have about 250 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% by the time the IAEA issues its next report next week,” Grossi noted.
He also emphasized that the situation is extremely serious and requires urgent negotiations:
“That’s why I think we shouldn’t waste any more time. I hope we can refocus on Iran.”
