In 2025, an additional UAH 1.7 billion is provided for the salaries of prosecutors: Yuzhanina

The government left the basic salary of the prosecutor at the level of 2024 — 1,600 hryvnias, but reduced the additional funding for wages by only 1 billion hryvnias from the 2.7 billion envisaged in the first reading of the budget for 2025. About this reported in the Telegram channel by Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
“They will be “picked up” with allowances and bonuses. I talked about it, but no one wants to hear it. With a minimum salary of 40,000 UAH, the average salary of a prosecutor today is 68,000 UAH, and 1.7 billion UAH is approximately an additional 15,000 UAH per month for each prosecutor, or an additional 10,000 UAH per month for each employee of the prosecutor’s office“, she noted.
Yuzhanina also emphasized that these funds are not allocated to increase the salary of every prosecutor, and even more so, not for every employee of the prosecutor’s office.
It will be recalled that the budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada rejected the amendments to the draft law “On the state budget for 2025”, which proposed to abandon the increase in expenditures for salaries of the prosecutor’s office employees by almost UAH 3 billion. In this regard, the salaries of prosecutors may increase by 37% next year.
On October 30, the Verkhovna Rada began consideration of the draft budget for 2025 in the first reading, in particular, canceling amendment No. 155, which provided for an increase in the salaries of prosecutors.
