500 simultaneous searches are being conducted in Ukraine for illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition
On June 13, law enforcement officers conducted 500 simultaneous searches as part of a large-scale special operation to combat the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition. About this reported in the press service of the National Police.
“The National Police is conducting a large-scale nationwide special operation to combat the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition: more than 500 searches are underway,” – says the message.
The operation is carried out in cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office and other law enforcement agencies. The purpose of the operation is to increase the level of security in society, prevent crimes related to the use of illegal weapons, and fight against their illegal circulation.
We will remind, on January 19, 2025, it became known that the SBU and the National Police conducted a special operation to expose the illegal sale of weapons in four regions. During the special operation, 15 suspects were detained during the day. Law enforcement officers also managed to prevent the illegal sale of trophy weapons and ammunition.
On January 23, law enforcement officers carried out more than 1,000 simultaneous searches throughout Ukraine as part of investigations related to the organization of the illegal sale and storage of weapons.
