In Ivano-Frankivsk, three people were detained for attacking a soldier (video)

Law enforcement officers detained three youths who attacked a participant in the hostilities in Ivano-Frankivsk on September 11. Currently, the issue of declaring them suspicious and selecting a preventive measure is being resolved, informs press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
It is noted that the conflict occurred after a 40-year-old serviceman asked three men aged 26, 21 and 17 to lend him money. This caused an aggressive reaction of young people, which led to a verbal conflict, which quickly turned into a fight.
In a video that has spread online, the assailants can be seen attacking the soldier from behind. The police quickly arrived at the scene, interviewed witnesses and found the 40-year-old victim at his place of residence. The serviceman was taken to the hospital with multiple bruises on his head and body.
During the conflict, a bystander who tried to intervene and protect the soldier was also injured. He was also hospitalized with injuries.
Among the detainees is a 26-year-old man previously convicted of property crimes. All three attackers admitted their guilt, and two of them — 26 and 21 years old — were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the question of presenting them with suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism committed by a group of persons), which provides for up to four years of imprisonment.
