VAKS will begin consideration of the lawsuit regarding the confiscation of the property of the head of the Poltava Region tax office

The higher anti-corruption court will consider a lawsuit regarding the confiscation of property, including an apartment in Kyiv and two cars belonging to Alla Ryabkova, acting head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Poltava region, and her relatives.

This decision was made by VAX on September 4. The court accepted the state’s statement of claim, presented by the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP), against Alla Ryabkova, Mykhailo and Oksana Ostapets, as well as Diana Ryabkova. Proceedings in the case were opened, and a preliminary court hearing was scheduled for October 21, 2024.

SAP filed this lawsuit based on an analysis according to which Ryabkova’s relatives acquired a number of material assets in the period from 2020 to 2023, in particular, her sister Oksana bought an apartment in Kyiv, father Mykhailo bought a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar car, and her daughter Diana became the owner of a 2022 Toyota C-HR Hybrid. However, according to an official analysis of income and expenses, it was found that the family did not have sufficient legal financial resources for such purchases.
