In Penza, drones attacked a radio factory that produces communications equipment for the Russian army

On July 31, a drone attack took place in the Russian city of Penza on a radio factory that manufactures modern means of communication for the Russian armed forces. According to rosZMI, it is about JSC Radiozavod.
The governor of the region confirmed the fact of an attack and arson at one of the enterprises, but noted that as a result of the incident, no one was injured and no serious destruction was recorded. Local authorities have announced temporary restrictions on mobile internet, citing the need to help anti-drone systems.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation confirmed, that the attacked enterprise is one of the key objects of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation. According to him, the plant specializes in the production of communication equipment for the Russian army, in particular, mobile control complexes, automated combat control systems, radio stations for the Ground Forces, VAT and Strategic Missile Forces, as well as modernized command and staff vehicles based on armored vehicles.
Kovalenko emphasized that this enterprise performs a critically important role in ensuring the control systems of the Russian armed forces, and its defeat could have significant consequences for the effectiveness of command in the Russian army.
On July 31, there was also unrest in the city of Kotelnikovo, Volgograd Region, Russia. A fire broke out as a result of a night attack by drones. Trains were stopped and interruptions in gas supply were recorded.
