The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi stated the need to intensify work on the construction of military engineering and fortification facilities in seven regions. Statement sounded during Sirsky’s speech at the meeting of the Congress of local and regional authorities.
“Seven regions must strengthen work in the direction of fortifications”, — noted the commander-in-chief.
According to him, 21 regional military administrations and a number of subcontractors are involved in the construction of engineering and fortification facilities.
The construction project was divided into three stages, and the works are currently in the final stage. Syrsky noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already finalizing key tasks, but the units involved in this should speed up the pace of work.
The general emphasized that engineering and fortification structures play a critically important role along with the stability of servicemen on the battlefield.
