The 100-year-old athlete set three world records at the swimming championships in Zhytomyr

An event took place in Zhytomyr, which vividly entered the history of sports. The “Avangard” Children’s and Youth Sports School hosted the Ukrainian Swimming Championship, which will be remembered not only by the participants and spectators, but also by the whole world. 100-year-old George Chizhevsky established three world records at distances of 50, 100 and 200 meters breaststroke.
This unique event caused admiration among both professional athletes and amateurs. George Chizhevsky proved that age is not an obstacle to achieving great goals. He not only became the champion in his age category, but also surpassed all previous achievements, setting new standards in world swimming.
Having competed with passion and inexhaustible energy, George confidently passed each distance, leaving behind all competitors. His performances in the 50, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke were a triumph of fortitude, perseverance and skill.
