In South Korea, during exercises, a fighter jet accidentally dropped several aerial bombs on residential areas near Seoul. As a result, seven people were injured. informs Yonhap news agency.

At least one Air Force fighter jet mistakenly dropped eight bombs outside a range during a training exercise on Thursday, injuring civilians. According to local authorities, seven people were injured, including five civilians and two military personnel. Two victims are in serious condition, but their lives are not in danger. In addition, seven buildings were damaged.

A KF-16 participating in the exercise “abnormally” dropped eight MK-82 bombs outside a test site in Pocheon, located 42 kilometers northeast of Seoul, near the border with North Korea. The Air Force launched an investigation and apologized to civilians for the damage caused. According to the authorities, seven people were injured.

At the same time, South Korea and the United States conducted joint live-fire exercises at the range. They involved more than 160 units of military equipment, including tanks, helicopters and fighter jets.
