On the night of March 17, attack drones attacked the facilities of the fuel and energy complex in the Astrakhan region of Russia. As a result of falling debris, a fire broke out on one of the objects, there are casualties. This was announced by the governor of the Astrakhan region, Ihor Babushkin.
The official noted that the region experienced a massive attack by drones aimed at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex. According to the governor, work shifts at enterprises were evacuated in advance. Means of radio-electronic warfare and anti-aircraft defense “worked normally”. At the same time, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the objects due to falling debris.
“The situation is under control, emergency services specialists immediately began to eliminate the consequences. People were injured during the attack. They have now been taken to the hospital.”Babushkin said.
We will remind that on March 16, explosions rang out near the city of Yeisk, Krasnodar Territory. Air defense forces were operating in the region, and the target of the attack was probably a military airfield.
