Military leaders of 30 countries joined the Paris Forum on Defense and Strategy
On March 11, the Paris Defense and Strategy Forum (PDSF) began, in which the military leaders of 30 countries participate. Conferences, round tables and debates will be held over the course of three days, devoted to issues of European defense in the “unstable strategic context”. About this informs France 24.
As last year, the central theme of the forum will be “Europe at the Crossroads”. The event will gather around 355 participants, including military leaders, politicians, scientists, researchers, industry representatives, as well as French and foreign politicians.
Three key areas will be considered during the forum. First of all, it is an architecture of defense, security and cooperation, with the aim of “answering questions about alliances.”
“Three years of war in Ukraine, turmoil in transatlantic relations, anxiety in Europe as a result of the conflict. The specific geopolitical context requires appropriate responses”, — noted in the Ministry of Defense of France.
In addition, the events will discuss regional and geopolitical challenges, the technological potential of armies, issues related to nuclear energy, space exploration, information warfare, environmental protection and the use of rare metals. Also among the topics are energy sovereignty, food security and the issue of national unity.
