In the Kharkiv region, a 10-year-old boy raped his 7-year-old neighbor after watching pornographic videos. About this reported Serhiy Bolvinov, head of the Investigative Department of the State Police in the Kharkiv region.
“The boy is ten, the girl is seven, and it is very difficult to find the words to tell this story. I will not add here the video that got to the police. Two short, no more than a minute, recordings – there the boy tries to repeat with his neighbor what he saw in adult films.” – he noted.
According to the girl and her older 9-year-old brother, the boy intimidated her, while she actually did not understand the meaning of all the actions that were taking place. The children live on the same street and have been friends for a long time.
“The video with their “games” got to adults only because the boy forwarded it to a teenage friend. And there she happened to see the mother and immediately went to the children’s service. It was from there that we received a signal about sexual violence against a minor.” – said Bolvinov.
According to him, the boy lives with his mother and grandmother. His family is registered as having found themselves in difficult life circumstances, and he himself is registered with the social service. The boy’s mother works as a primary school teacher’s assistant and, according to her job description, “knows the basics of child psychology and pedagogy.” She may be deprived of parental rights.
The girl’s mother is currently on maternity leave, in addition to her daughter, she has three more sons, while the father does not officially work anywhere. Their family is listed as being in difficult life circumstances.
According to the report, the boy had older friends who showed him pornographic videos from the age of five. In the future, he himself repeatedly watched them, which ultimately led to a tragic incident with a neighbor. For the first time, the boy tried to make the girl repeat what he saw last summer, but she refused, for which he beat her. That same spring, when the children were alone at the boy’s house, he told the girl to take off her pants, lie on the bed, and turned on the phone himself.
“We talked to these children. The girl says that she agreed because she was afraid. The boy and his mother do not particularly go in contact. It is a shocking case, but in this situation there can be no criminal punishment for the boy, because he is only ten years old. This is about failure to fulfill parental responsibilities.” – noted Bolvinov.
