In Ukraine, the head of the Russian “Youth Army” was convicted in absentia

The leader of one of the children’s military-political movements created by the occupation administration in the Melitopol district was sentenced to 11 years in prison for collaborating with the enemy (Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). About this informs Office of the Prosecutor General.
During the trial, it was proven that the former teacher of one of the Kharkiv universities, who currently heads an educational institution organized by the occupation authorities in the Zaporizhia region, became the head of the so-called regional headquarters of the Zaporizhia region of the All-Russian children’s and youth military-patriotic movement Yunarmiya.
The defendant was personally involved in the organization of public events of a political and military orientation, in which minor participants of this movement were actively involved.
The main goal of the “Unarmy” activity is to destroy the Ukrainian national identity, instill in teenagers a commitment to service in the armed forces of Russia and support its occupation policy. Children over the age of 8 are accepted there.
