In Ukraine, the registration of veterinary clinics in the Register of Pets has been resumed

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has resumed the work of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations (USR) after the Russian cyber attack in December 2024. The authorization of licensees in the Registry of Pets was also restored, reported in the State Production and Consumer Service.
The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection reminded that licensees of the Register of Pets can enter their data for their further reconciliation with the Unified State Register (USR).
The department called on veterinary medicine institutions to be authorized in the register and to participate in the creation of an animal registration system. This system will become an important tool for planning anti-epizootic measures and will contribute to increasing the visibility of veterinary clinics by displaying their information on a nationwide map.
The unified state register of domestic animals is a joint project of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the State Production and Consumer Service and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
We will remind that in November 2024, the first stage of launching the Unified State Register of Pets on the “Diya.Engine” platform began in Ukraine. This register aims to more effectively prevent the spread of dangerous diseases, to harmonize Ukrainian legislation with European standards for the treatment of animals, and to form a culture of responsible treatment of pets.
