InformNapalm accuses the SBI of putting pressure on the community spokesperson

International intelligence community InformNapalm reported about pressure from the State Bureau of Investigation on the organization’s spokesman Mykhailo Makaruk. According to the information of the community, the employees of the State Bureau of Investigation conducted a search of Makaruk and seized his working equipment.
“On March 26, 2025 at 07:00, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation staged a “mask show” and broke into the residence of a well-known volunteer, activist, spokesman for the international intelligence community InformNapalm Mykhailo Makaruk.
They formalized this search as an “urgent investigative action” without a court order. At the same time, they immediately violated the legislation of Ukraine, because an urgent search is allowed only if it is necessary to save lives and property or in the case of direct persecution of the suspect (as an example: SC/KKS in case No. 573/2028/19 dated 04/08/2021), and Mykhailo is not a suspect and no charges were brought against him. That is, the actions of the DBR employees look like criminal arbitrariness and ordered pressure from third parties.” InformNapalm said in a statement.
The community noted that no charges were filed during the search, and the main goal, they said, was to seize personal computer equipment:
“At the same time, neither before nor during the search, no charges were brought, and the entire search was reduced to the fact that they took personal computer equipment. That is, the purpose of these actions was to steal laptops from Mykhailo without a court order and without any legal grounds.”
InformNapalm notes that they have not received any clear explanations from the SBI regarding the search. The organization recalled that on March 21, 2025, Makaruk published a critical post on Facebook about the activities of the SBI, whose employees, according to him, periodically tried to put pressure on him.
Concerns are expressed in the community that the seized equipment may be compromised and sensitive information may be copied and passed on to Russian intelligence services. At the moment Mykhailo Makaruk does not have access to his account on Facebook and other social networks.
