Israel launched the most powerful strike in 10 years against Syrian military targets

On the night of December 16, the Israeli military carried out several airstrikes on missile and weapons warehouses in the Syrian port city of Tartus. About this informs The Jerusalem Post.
As noted by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), these attacks became one of the most powerful strikes on the coastal region of Syria since the beginning of 2012. Tartus, located near the Syrian-Lebanon border, is also home to a Russian naval base.
Official Israel has not yet commented on these actions. At the same time, over the past 48 hours, Israeli forces have carried out about 250 strikes on the territory of Syria aimed at destroying the military infrastructure of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
According to SOHR, key Syrian military facilities were destroyed, including airfields, aviation squadrons, radar systems, communication stations, as well as numerous weapons and ammunition depots in most of the country’s provinces.
In addition, near the port of Latakia, Israeli forces struck air defense systems, damaged warships of the Syrian Navy and several warehouses. Military facilities, research centers and electronic warfare facilities in Damascus and its surroundings were also attacked.
