Kim Jong Un stated that North Korea’s participation in the war against Ukraine is “justified”.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has said that North Korea’s involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine is “legitimate” and “justified” and described it as an exercise of its “sovereign right” to support a “brotherly people.” About this informs Reuters.

According to Kim Jong Un, North Korea’s actions in this conflict reflect the desire to protect an ally in accordance with national interests. In his speech, Kim Jong-un mentioned the so-called “Kurk operation”, separately honoring the North Korean military personnel who took part in hostilities, and called them “heroes” and “highest representatives of the nation’s honor”.

At the same time, he warned that North Korea is ready to use military force in case of continuation of what he called “military provocations” by the United States against Russia. Earlier, Kim Jong-un confirmed that North Korea had sent its troops to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine, referring to the provisions of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the Kursk operation, the losses of the Russian “Kursk” group have exceeded 62,000 people, and more than 4,500 soldiers have been neutralized among the North Korean units. According to report think tank South Korea Institute for Defense Analysis (KIDA), North Korea’s participation in the war on the side of Russia brought its economy more than 20 billion dollars in profit.
