Land worth over UAH 300 million returned to the state in Kyiv

Previously, almost 2.5 hectares of state-owned land in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv were planned to be used for the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings. In addition, the premises with a total area of more than 6,500 sq m were to be used for profit. However, the Kyiv Commercial Court ruled that the transfer of this land plot to the businessmen was illegal, and now it has been returned to state ownership. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence.
According to the ministry, the court’s decision ensured the return to the state not only of the land but also of the property complex located in the Darnytskyi district of the capital. The total value of this land plot, together with the facilities on it, is over UAH 300 million.
The Ministry of Defence also noted that the territory was originally planned to be used for residential development, and some of the premises were to be leased or operated for income. The ministry also stressed that cases of illegal seizure of land plots of strategic importance to the country’s defence capability and military facilities are quite common.
The Ministry of Defence noted that countering illegal attempts to appropriate state facilities remains a priority.
