The German company KNDS Deutschland, the manufacturer of Leopard 2 tanks, has officially established a joint venture with the Ukrainian defense enterprise. About this reported Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries.
“Glad to announce the official opening of a joint venture between KMW (KNDS Deutschland) and one of the Ukrainian defense enterprises”, Smetanin noted.
According to him, the newly created enterprise will deal with the maintenance and repair of military equipment, which Germany supplies to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The first units of this equipment arrived in Ukraine in 2022.
“Ukrainian specialists have already been trained in Germany, the first systems have already been installed at the facilities”, – explained the minister.
This initiative will significantly reduce the time required to repair equipment, and will also provide a significant contribution to the economy of Ukraine through investments and the creation of new jobs.
