Macron does not see a “quick and easy solution” to the conflict in Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron said that he does not expect a “quick and easy solution” to the war between Russia and Ukraine. He spoke about this during the annual conference of ambassadors in Paris, outlining the priorities of France’s foreign policy for 2025, informs France24.
Macron called on Ukraine to have “realistic expectations” regarding territorial issues, pointing out the need to discuss these issues in the process of resolving the conflict. For the first time, he clearly suggested the possibility of territorial concessions from Kyiv.
“The United States of America should help us change the nature of the situation and convince Russia to sit down at the negotiating table. The new American president himself knows that the United States has no chance of winning anything if Ukraine loses.”, – emphasized Macron.
In addition, the French president criticized Elon Musk, the billionaire and owner of the X platform, accusing him of supporting a “new international reactionary movement.” Musk is known for his close ties with US President-elect Donald Trump.
