Medvedchuk accused Zelensky of trying to bribe the Prime Minister of Slovakia: statement to the Belgian prosecutor’s office

Viktor Medvedchuk, the leader of the “Other Ukraine” movement, appealed to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Belgium with a statement about the investigation into possible bribery of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, by Volodymyr Zelenskyi. The corresponding document was published on the official website of the movement.

“We decided to apply to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of the Kingdom of Belgium with the aim of organizing a criminal prosecution for the commission of a serious crime against Zelenskyi based on the fact of corruption”, the statement says.

In the text of the appeal, Medvedchuk claims that Zelenskyi offered Fico a bribe of 500 million euros to ensure a vote in favor of Ukraine joining NATO. He also emphasizes that this case has an “international character” and needs to be investigated as an act of international corruption.

The former head of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” party indicates that Zelenskyi can be prosecuted for corruption in accordance with Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as well as to the provisions of the Criminal Code of Slovakia (in particular, Article 334 and Article 336).
