Microsoft has extended free access to cloud services for Ukrainian educators and government officials for another year
Microsoft Corporation continued to provide free access to cloud services for Ukrainian educational institutions, state agencies and authorities at the central and regional levels until the end of 2025. About this informs Ministry of Digital Transformation.
“In 2023, the company provided technological assistance in the amount of more than $500+ million, in 2024 – another $100 million, and this year we will receive support in the same amount.” – noted in the Ministry of Statistics.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Microsoft has actively supported Ukraine. In particular, the corporation has helped move digital infrastructure to secure data centers in Europe, supports cyber security projects, war crimes investigations and funding humanitarian initiatives. At the end of 2023, Microsoft announced the continuation of free access to cloud services for government institutions of Ukraine.
We will remind that in March 2022 the company stopped selling new products in Russia. Despite this, Microsoft fulfilled existing contractual obligations to Russian customers, including international companies and legal entities that were not under sanctions.
