The National Agency for Investigation and Management of Assets (ARMA) has discovered assets worth more than 3 billion hryvnias as part of criminal proceedings related to the appropriation of budget funds during construction works. About this reported press service of the department.

According to the results of the investigation, property and funds were established, including more than 2.8 billion hryvnias in bank accounts in various currencies, securities worth more than 50 million hryvnias, contributions to the authorized capital of companies of about 5 million hryvnias, as well as more than 100 vehicles, 280 units of construction and special equipment and several objects of residential and non-residential real estate.

ARMA Deputy Chairman Pavlo Velikorechanin noted that the amount of assets found indicates the scale of the criminal scheme.

“The volume of discovered assets indicates the scale of the criminal scheme for embezzlement of budget funds. Anyone who has illegally enriched himself at the expense of the state must bear economic responsibility. The transfer of these assets to the management of ARMA will be a guarantee that they will work for the benefit of the state, its economy and defense capability.”, – emphasized Velikorechanin.
