Ministry of Digital Affairs and Google launch AI training program for civil servants

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in cooperation with Google and the educational initiative CDTO Campus launches the program “Artificial intelligence for the public sector”. It will allow Ukrainian civil servants to master the effective use of AI technologies in their professional activities — in partnership with Google.
Training will be available for all categories of employees of state authorities — from managers and analysts to project managers and technical specialists. The first group – the team of the Ministry of Digitization – will start training already in June. The Ministry of Economy will also join the initiative.
Artificial intelligence technologies can improve productivity, assist in decision-making and ensure data security.
The training program will provide civil servants with the knowledge and tools to:
- work with AI safely and responsibly;
- automate routine processes and increase efficiency;
- formulate queries to obtain accurate and relevant results;
- see examples of practical application of AI in public administration.
The training will take place online in the form of interactive sessions, during which participants will be able to ask questions of Google experts. The program is adapted to the needs of various ministries and, depending on the areas of activity, will last 2-3 classes.
“Artificial intelligence will soon become as common a tool as a text editor or e-mail. We need to help civil servants work with it consciously, safely and for the benefit of society.” — explained Oleksandr Tsybort, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine for Digital Development.
Google supports Ukraine in integrating AI into government processes, taking into account ethical standards and security requirements. In addition to the program for civil servants, Google has also created an open educational platform for everyone.
