Max Energy Resources won the auction, acquiring 245 gas stations of the ANP and Avias networks, which previously belonged to the Privat group, as well as 33 land plots that were pledged by PrivatBank. At the auction held on September 27, the company offered the highest price — 695.9 million hryvnias.
According to the terms of the auction, the full payment for the purchased property must be made within 10 banking days after the approval of the auction results protocol. At the same time, the winner does not have the right to cancel the results of the auction in the event that the actual composition of the property does not match the data from the State Register of Property Rights.
As of October 2, SE “Setam” and PrivatBank have not yet confirmed information about the winner. PrivatBank noted that before concluding the agreement, the winner will be checked for involvement in the “Privat” group.
According to media reports, companies from the “Privat” group of Igor Kolomoisky used these gas stations under leasing conditions for many years. PrivatBank, the formal owner of the property, did not receive profits from these objects, as Kolomoisky’s lawyers found ways to avoid paying debts.
The company “Max Energy Resources”, which won the auction, was registered in April 2022 and is engaged in the import of petroleum products and retail trade of fuel. Last year, its turnover amounted to about UAH 1.5 billion.
The owner of the company, Ihor Suprunenko, said in an interview with “Economichnaya Pravda” that the purchase of such a number of gas stations allows the company to strengthen its position on the Ukrainian market, as well as to expand the network. According to him, the company has already conducted an inspection of facilities in the regions, except for the occupied territories, and is ready for a phased launch.
