Ministry of Strategic Industry prepares changes to the aviation industry development program
The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine is currently working on updating the State target scientific and technical program for the development of the aviation industry. According to him, the update is necessary to update the tasks and activities that were defined earlier. In addition, the government has already supported the project of amendments to the law on the development of the aircraft industry, and the corresponding draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
The head of the legal committee of the Aerospace Association of Ukraine, Ruslan Melnychenko, noted that the industry needs support at the level of legislation, in particular through the creation of an effective legal framework for the development of Ukrainian aviation. Issues related to tax and customs regulation are especially relevant.
Among the main challenges facing the industry are the loss of tax preferences, difficulties with the import of individual components, the need to modernize equipment and expand production capabilities. It was also emphasized that current government regulations in some cases actually block the import of products due to their similarity with goods of Russian origin, which may cause risks of criminal prosecution for Ukrainian enterprises and requires regulatory regulation.
Pavlo Bardakov, commander of the army aviation of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that from 2023, Western weapons systems will already be integrated on Ukrainian helicopters. Among the key tasks now is the provision of means of destruction, improvement of the technical efficiency of aviation and the formation of an effective management vertical.
