NABU files report against Deputy Minister of Energy for failure to provide information on international aid

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau drew up a protocol against the Deputy Minister of Energy for refusing to provide information about international assistance. About this informs NABU press office.

“The official refused to provide information at the official request of NABU regarding implemented and planned projects in the field of energy financed by international partners”, – says the message.

These projects provide billions in technical assistance aimed at restoring and supporting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Access to information on such initiatives is critical for identifying potential corruption risks in the process of aid distribution or implementation.

Refusal to respond to NABU’s request violates current legislation and creates artificial obstacles in the work of the anti-corruption body. NABU urges all law enforcement and state structures, enterprises and institutions to comply with the requirements of the law and ensure effective interaction with detectives at all stages of their activities.

It will be recalled that 30 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated to the transformation of the coal regions of Ukraine. Funding will come from state and local budgets, as well as from other sources, including international technical assistance.
