Naftogaz has recovered half of the production lost after the February shelling

The Naftogaz group has already restored about 50% of the production lost as a result of the Russian attacks in February. About this stated company chairman Roman Chumak during a press conference organized by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on the results of the 2024-2025 heating season.
“This heating season has become the most difficult since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In the first three months of the current year, the enemy launched more than eight missile-drone attacks on the group’s facilities. That’s more than 100 hits,” Chumak emphasized.
According to him, in the crisis, the company quickly organized the supply of imported gas, which made it possible to provide stable heat for consumers. During the first quarter, Naftogaz promptly organized the import of natural gas, which made it possible to cover all needs — not a single Ukrainian was left without gas or heat.
“We persevered and proved that Naftogaz today is the guarantor of energy stability. Our people are stronger than metal. It is thanks to them that we got through the winter and coped with all threats.” added Roman Chumak.
He also noted that preparations for the next heating season have already begun. “Naftogaz” is preparing for the next heating season, having at its disposal the necessary equipment, grant support from Norway in the amount of 140 million euros and a loan from the EBRD in the amount of 270 million euros.
