NAKC found signs of illegal enrichment of ex-deputy prosecutor general Dmytro Verbytskyi in the amount of about UAH 29 million

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) found signs of illegal enrichment of the former deputy general prosecutor Dmytro Verbytskyi in the amount of about 29 million hryvnias. Information about it published on the official website of NAZK on July 3.

This conclusion was transferred to NABU, where detectives are investigating a criminal case on possible illegal enrichment of Verbytskyi. In addition, NAZK and NABU continue to investigate the property of the former deputy general prosecutor and persons connected with him. Earlier, the journalists of the program “Schemes” published an investigation in which it was said that Dmytro Verbytskyi lives in a townhouse near Kyiv, purchased at a price six times lower than the market price, as well as about his girlfriend, who in 2024 purchased luxury real estate worth at least 52 million hryvnias, while not having sufficient official income.

“The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) found signs of a corruption criminal offense in the actions of the former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which testify to his illegal enrichment in the amount of almost UAH 29 million”, – says the message of the NAZK.

In particular, the NAZK established that, on Verbytskyi’s behalf, persons related to him acquired unsubstantiated assets:

  • LEXUS ES 300H car worth over UAH 960,000;
  • LEXUS NX 300H car worth over UAH 480,000;
  • a PORSCHE MACAN T car worth UAH 3.5 million;
  • a house and a plot of land in Kyiv worth UAH 16.3 million;
  • a house and a plot of land in Odesa worth UAH 10 million;
  • an apartment and a plot of land in Antalya (Turkey) worth UAH 3.9 million.

In addition, the NAZK did not identify the legal sources of the former deputy’s cash in the amount of more than 2 million hryvnias, as well as cryptocurrencies. The National Agency handed over these materials to NABU “to join them to the materials of criminal proceedings.”

NAZK and NABU continue to investigate the property of the former deputy general prosecutor and persons related to him. Detectives registered a criminal case on May 13, a week after the release of the first “Schemes” material, in which it was reported that Dmytro Verbytsky settled in a townhouse in the cottage town “Konyk” in Kyiv, which was purchased by his nephew under a power of attorney for an Odessa businessman six times cheaper for market value.

In the second “Scheme” investigation, it was told about Verbytskyi’s girlfriend, Khrystyna Ilnytska, who in 2024 became the owner of a new Porsche and a three-story cottage in the same “Konik”, the total value of which is at least 52 million hryvnias. Its total income, declared to the state for the last decade, amounted to slightly more than 360 thousand hryvnias. Then, in a comment for “Schemes”, Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi stated that he did not help Ilnitskaya financially, but did not deny that he was in a relationship with her, noting that they were not of a family nature.
