NATO explained why Donald Trump’s “peace plan” is dangerous

The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, should be aware of the importance of securing a favorable peace agreement for Ukraine. The United States may face significant threats from China, North Korea, and Iran if Ukraine is forced to concede to Russia to end the war. About this stated NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
He emphasized that Ukraine needs a fair agreement that would guarantee its interests, and the United States should continue military support for Kyiv. According to him, forcing Ukraine into an unjust peace will only contribute to the preparation of new aggressive actions by the enemies of the West.
“The most important thing now is to make sure that when Zelensky decides to start peace talks, he can do it from a position of strength. For me, this is the number one priority right now.” – emphasized Rutte.
He also drew attention to the close military and economic ties between Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. The mutual circulation of weapons and finances between these countries fuels wars not only in Ukraine, but also in the regions of the Middle East.
Rutte noted that before the start of peace talks, strengthening military support for Ukraine is a more important task than discussing the terms of its possible accession to NATO. According to him, strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities is now key to deterring common threats that could threaten the security of the entire West.
