The head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived in New York for the UN summit, despite US sanctions
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Volodymyr Kolokoltsev paid a visit to New York despite the sanctions imposed by the United States of America.
Minister of the Russian Federation arrived to the American city to participate in the IV summit of the heads of the police bodies of the United Nations member states. During his stay in New York, Kolokoltsev met with UN Deputy Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix.
During a meeting at the UN headquarters, Kolokoltsev expressed Russia’s position regarding the events in Ukraine, calling on the UN to condemn the missile attack that took place on June 23 in Sevastopol, calling it a “terrorist attack” and a “terrible crime by the Kyiv regime.”
It is important to note that Volodymyr Kolokoltsev has been under personal sanctions of the US Treasury Department since 2018, but despite this, he continues to actively participate in international events.
