NMT-2025 abroad: the list of countries and cities where temporary examination centers will be created has been expanded

The war forced millions of Ukrainians to leave their homes, fleeing shelling, occupation and danger. Among them are thousands of young people who, despite all the difficulties, strive to continue their education, build their future and realize their dreams. For Ukrainian refugees, the issue of access to education has become extremely important, because obtaining higher education in Ukraine often requires successful completion of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). That is why expanding opportunities for taking this test abroad is an important step towards ensuring the right to education for every Ukrainian graduate.
Ukrainian Center for the Assessment of the Quality of Education (UCEAO) reported on expanding the list of cities abroad where temporary examination centers will be established. From now on, it will be possible to take the NMT in the following cities: Vienna (Austria), Poznan, Katowice, Gdansk (Poland), Bratislava (Slovakia). This became possible thanks to reaching agreements with ministries of education, representatives of non-governmental organizations of other countries and with the support of Ukrainian embassies.
It is important to understand that these centers are an opportunity for Ukrainian graduates abroad to prove their desire for education and, perhaps, to return to Ukraine with new knowledge and experience. However, the number of places in such centers is limited. They will function on the basis of specially equipped computer centers offered by partners. If the available places in a certain city are exhausted, this settlement will automatically become unavailable for selection in the registration service.
As of March 10, there are no more free places for taking the NMT in such cities as Dusseldorf (Germany), Bucharest (Romania) and Prague (Czech Republic). This shows the great interest and willingness of Ukrainian graduates abroad to take the test and continue their education.
UTSOYAO reminds that until April 8, applicants have the opportunity to change their registration data in their personal accounts and choose the city that will be closest to their place of stay during the test. This is very important, because in conditions of constant movement and uncertainty, access to information and the ability to adjust one’s plans are the key to successful NMT preparation.
As a reminder, registration for the National Multi-Subject Test lasts from March 6 to April 8. Applicants will need to pass tests in three mandatory subjects – Ukrainian language, history of Ukraine and mathematics, and also choose a fourth subject at their own discretion: foreign languages, physics, chemistry, biology, geography or Ukrainian literature.
This decision is very important for Ukrainian youth abroad, because it allows them to maintain a connection with their native country, not to lose the opportunity to enter Ukrainian universities and continue to get an education, despite the war. Moreover, it is support for Ukrainian families who were forced to leave their homes, but do not betray their desire for knowledge.
Ukrainian refugees around the world face challenges every day, but their desire to learn is a symbol of indomitability and faith in a better future. The opening of new centers for preparing the NMT is another step towards ensuring that every Ukrainian, regardless of the circumstances, can exercise their right to education.
