Oleksandr Usyk presented the national anthem “Battle for Peace”, dedicated to Ukrainian energy workers

A few hours before his fight, the absolute world champion in super-heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk presented the national anthem “Battle for the World”, dedicated to Ukrainian energy workers, rescuers and Air Defense Forces, who are resisting Russian energy terror. Usyk published this composition on his Instagram page.
“This song united Ukrainians. Ours is a national anthem of the battle for the world with you. With boundless respect for your struggle – DTEK, DSNS, Air Force”, – wrote the boxer.
The anthem was created as part of a flash mob that lasted a week before the fight. Famous Ukrainian artists took part in the recording of the composition, including Monatik, Nadia Dorofeeva, Yulia Sanina, Onuka, Kazka, Otoy, Lida Lee and Dakh Daughters. Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also joined the anthem.
The basis of the musical composition became the sounds of Usyk’s blows, which are symbolically intertwined with the work of the Ukrainian Air Force, rescuers and energy workers. The key motif of the anthem was the folk song “Oi na gori ta zhenti zhnut”, which adds authenticity and deep symbolism to it.
The flash mob associated with the launch of the national anthem garnered more than three million views on social networks within a day.
We will remind you that Oleksandr Usyk together with the DTEK company launched the “Battle for the World” initiative, which is designed to draw the attention of the international community to the shelling of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
In addition, this fall, the documentary “Battle for the World” was released, dedicated to the heroic work of Ukrainian energy workers, rescuers and air defense soldiers. Usyk also took part in the shooting of this film, showing support for those who resist the consequences of energy terror.
