The Japanese corporation SoftBank intends to create artificial intelligence industrial parks in the United States and is considering investing $1 trillion in this project. About this informs Bloomberg.

The founder and CEO of the company, Masayoshi Son, plans to visit the United States in the near future to present his ideas for the implementation of the large-scale initiative. It is expected that the enterprises that will work within these parks will use robots with autonomous control based on artificial intelligence. This approach should compensate for the labor shortage in the country.

In January of this year, Masayoshi Son already joined forces with OpenAI and Oracle to create a new company called Stargate. The project is presented as the largest initiative for the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the history of the United States. At the start, the parties announced an investment of $100 billion, with plans to bring the total to $500 billion in the coming years.

If the $1 trillion investment plan goes ahead, it will be one of the largest private AI initiatives in history, with the potential to significantly impact US technology development and change the global AI market.

We will remind that in May 2024, SoftBank announced plans to invest about $9 billion annually in the development of AI technologies, saving resources for large deals. In July, the company invested $1.5 billion in OpenAI.
