The Verkhovna Rada Committee approved a draft law on punishing representatives of the CCC for violations during mobilization

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement supported it bill No. 12442 on the responsibility of representatives of the TCC and VLK for violations during the mobilization of citizens. About this reported Oleksandr Bakumov, head of the subcommittee on criminal legislation and crime prevention.

At an extraordinary meeting, the committee recommended that the parliament adopt the draft law in the first reading, shortening the deadline for submitting amendments to the second reading from 14 to 7 days. This decision was supported by the majority of committee members.

According to the document, if during martial law an employee of the TCC knowingly violates the procedure for conscription of citizens, he will face imprisonment for a period of 3 to 8 years.

Punishment is also provided for intentional violation of the work order of the VLK, which caused the mobilization of an unfit citizen or the illegal dismissal of a fit citizen from service. In this case, the guilty person can also receive from 3 to 8 years of imprisonment.
