Savings Bank received a license to carry out international freight transportation by road. The relevant decision was made by the State Transport Safety Service of Ukraine (Ukrtransbezpeka) in accordance with the order dated July 3, 2025.
In connection with the closure of civil air traffic, the delivery of all types of currency values to Ukraine is currently carried out exclusively by cars. For uninterrupted operational work, Oschadbank transports currency values both from abroad and beyond its borders by specialized transport. Obtaining a license has become a necessary condition for the legal and safe performance of such transportation through the territory of the EU.
“The presence of a license for international cargo transportation confirms that Oschadbank complies with all European requirements regarding safety, personnel qualifications, the state of the fleet and the organization of processes. This is another step towards increasing the stability of the bank in conditions of martial law and ensuring critical operations.”, — commented Yevhenii Drachko-Yermolenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.
In order to obtain a license, the bank fulfilled all the requirements of Ukrainian and European legislation, in particular the provisions of the regulation of the European Parliament and the Council (EU) dated October 21, 2009 on establishing common rules for road transport operators.
It is confirmed that the collection service of Oschadbank:
- has the necessary material and technical base, including its own fleet, service station and specialized equipment;
- equipped cars with tachographs and other means of monitoring drivers’ working conditions;
- adheres to environmental standards for transport;
- has qualified international transportation specialists on staff;
- cooperates with medical institutions to conduct medical examinations of drivers;
- ensures that the drivers have licenses of categories “C”, “C1”, “CE” or “C1E” and confirmed experience of domestic transportation lasting at least three years.
The obtained license allows Oschadbank to continue to perform the functions of a systemic state bank, guaranteeing the safety and efficiency of international transportation of currency values, in particular in cooperation with the National Bank of Ukraine and other financial institutions.
