Pavlo Tkachuk was dismissed from the post of head of the Land Forces Academy

By his order, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine dismissed Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk from his post as head of the Petro Sahaidachny National Academy of Ground Forces. About this reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“During the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to Lviv, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov reported to the head of state about the results of the audit of the main inspection of the Ministry of Defense regarding the activities of the National Academy of Ground Forces and numerous violations discovered by the Military Intelligence Service”, – says the message.
The President gave instructions to immediately eliminate the identified problems and put the situation in order.
“By order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk was dismissed from the position of head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny”, – the department notes.
It also became known that the State Bureau of Investigation, together with the SBU, informed the head of the training course of one of the academy’s faculties, Artur Antoniv, about the suspicion.
According to the investigation, the officer used physical violence and psychological pressure on the cadets for more than a year, trying to “educate” them in discipline. These actions took place both on the territory of the academy in Lviv and in the barracks of one of the villages of the region.
The investigation is ongoing, and those involved in these violations may be held accountable under the law.
