The court applied preventive measures to three suspects in the Solskyi case

The Higher Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) chose preventive measures in the form of detention for three more involved in the case of illegal acquisition of land in the Sumy region. They are accused of seizing state land worth UAH 481 million.

“From April 26 to 29, 2024, investigative judges of the State Criminal Court of Ukraine applied preventive measures to three more suspects in the case of the acquisition of land in Sumy Oblast with an area of about 2.5 thousand hectares worth UAH 291 million and attempts to acquire land with an area of about 3.3 thousand hectares for another 190 million hryvnias“, the message says.
According to the investigation, the suspects, acting in an organized group, during 2019-2020 took possession of state-owned agricultural plots of land in the Sumy region. Their actions caused damage to the state in the amount of almost half a billion hryvnias.
The court applied a preventive measure in the form of detention with an alternative of bail to one of the co-organizers of the crime. The amount of the pledge reaches UAH 30 million.
The court imposed preventive measures in the form of detention with the alternative of bail to the other two defendants who acted as accomplices. Their pledges amount to UAH 5 million and UAH 7.5 million, respectively.
The actions of the suspects are qualified under articles 191 (Taking someone else’s property), 27 (Aiding a crime), 15 (Attempt to commit a crime) and 366 (Production, issuance, sale or use of forged documents) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It is important to note that all the suspects deny their guilt.
