People’s Deputies submitted for registration a draft law on preserving the independence of the SAPO and NABU
A group of People’s Deputies has submitted for registration a draft law proposing to completely remove from Law No. 12414 all provisions related to limiting the activities of NABU and SAP. About this reported people’s deputy from the “Voice” fraction Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“Yes, we have already submitted for registration the law on the cancellation of all regulations regarding the liquidation of NABU and SAP. It will soon be on the Council’s website. 48 people’s deputies from Golos, Sluga, the EU and even the Motherland signed it. What is there? Complete cancellation of all regulations related to NABU and SAP in the criminal 12414”. – says the message.
Zheleznyak clarified that we are talking about the draft law that Inna Sovsun mentioned the day before, but he emphasized that several people’s deputies worked on the document at once. According to him, the registration procedure usually takes several hours, so it is expected that the text will appear on the website of the Verkhovna Rada by the end of the day.
According to the standard procedure, the draft law can reach the session hall no earlier than in seven days. However, he reminded that it is possible to consider it even earlier – according to the ad hoc procedure, which is provided for in Article 50 of the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada and allows for a one-time departure from the established rules.
Commenting on the possible date of the convocation of the parliament, Zheleznyak noted that after the scandalous vote, the deputies were “sent away on a business trip”, so it is currently impossible to say exactly when the Rada can meet:
“Neither I nor anyone else can name any dates now. But I will say this – we will gather quickly, but it is difficult to predict how the “servants” will gather.”
He added that the deputies are waiting for an alternative draft of the law, which the president promised to submit:
“We are also waiting for a law from the president – we will check whose text will be better. Maybe he will propose reforms there. But, if the authorities really want to correct a mistake – here is the law for you. Next is your move.”
