In Ukraine, privatization revenues for 2024 may reach almost 12 billion hryvnias

In 2024, revenues from privatization in Ukraine may triple the planned figures and reach 12 billion hryvnias. About this reported First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko.
“I can say with confidence that the reform of state property management in 2024 achieved significant success. We not only launched large-scale privatization and got good results thanks to it, but also laid a solid foundation for the further implementation of the principles of efficient and transparent management of state assets.” – emphasizes Svyridenko.
Among them, such objects as the “Ukraine” hotel, sold for 2.5 billion hryvnias with a 2.5-fold increase in value thanks to the auction, became iconic; “United Mining and Chemical Company”, the largest titanium ore mining company in Ukraine, which was sold for almost 4 billion hryvnias; as well as the Aerok plant, the first confiscated sanctioned asset, which almost doubled in price and was sold for 1.9 billion hryvnias.
The funds received, especially from the sale of sanctioned assets, will be directed to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression, which will finance the reconstruction of the country. According to Svyridenko, this year demonstrated that even during the war, privatization remains an important and possible tool for development.
