Petition to cancel payments in the amount of UAH 1000 received the required number of votes

The petition calling for the cancellation or revision of the program for paying Ukrainians 1,000 hryvnias has gathered more than 25,000 signatures, which is the minimum necessary for it to be considered by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Relevant information appeared in the petitions section on the website of the Office of the President.
The author of the petition points to the shortcomings of the “e-Support” program, including the lack of targeting. In his opinion, financial aid should be aimed at supporting the most vulnerable categories of the population, such as pensioners, low-income families, large families and internally displaced persons.
In the appeal, it is proposed to redirect the funds of this program to other government initiatives, for example, “eOselya”.
“And yet, if the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine believe that in the current conditions, the implementation of the program for the distribution of UAH 1,000 per citizen is more important and have finally decided to implement it, then based on the above, I ask that the funds under this program be directed exclusively to persons who really need it”, says the accompanying text.
According to the law, the petition must now be considered by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
