NBU proposes to change the procedure for organizing the collection of funds and transportation of currency valuables of banks
The National Bank of Ukraine proposes to update the rules for collection of funds and transportation of currency values of banks on the territory of the country. About this reported NBU press office.
The main purpose of the proposed changes is to increase the level of security and simplify the work of banks and licensed legal entities that collect funds and transport valuables.
In particular, the innovations include an expanded definition of the term “transportation of valuables”, which will allow banks and SIT companies to transport currency valuables between branches of “Ukrposhta” in order to ensure the payment of pensions and the implementation of social programs.
It is also proposed to establish clear requirements for the conditions for unloading valuables from operational vehicles in the event of the absence of a collection box or the impossibility of placing a vehicle in it.
In addition, it is planned to abolish the mandatory requirement to wear uniforms and special coloring of collection vehicles in areas close to combat zones in order to increase the level of security.
The requirements for filling out accompanying documents, in particular receipts in the description of values in the national currency, are also updated, if an automated cash accounting system with QR codes is used, which ensures automatic data reconciliation. For foreign currency, the requirements regarding the registration of persons who accept and hand over currency values are clarified.
The NBU will accept comments and proposals to the draft resolution in the established format until February 15, 2025.
