За його словами, вирішення конфлікту залежить від готовності України та Росії до компромісів. Крім того, в інтерв’ю програмі “Meet the Press” він визнав, що не може гарантувати, що мита не спричинять зростання споживчих цін. А в розмові з “Time” під час вручення нагороди “Людина року” Трамп зазначив, що складно зменшити вартість продуктів харчування, якщо ціни вже зросли. “Хоча демократи та критики звинуватили Трампа у зниженні очікувань або в тому, що він сигналізує про невиконання передвиборчих обіцянок, його команда та союзники заявляють, що президент переходить від риторики передвиборчої кампанії до усвідомлення складності управління”, – йдеться у повідомленні. And in a conversation with “Time” during the presentation of the “Man of the Year” award, Trump noted that it is difficult to reduce the cost of food if prices have already increased.
“While Democrats and critics have accused Trump of lowering expectations or signaling that he is breaking campaign promises, his team and allies say the president is moving from campaign rhetoric to an awareness of the complexities of governing.” – the message says.
