Britain is not currently considering sending troops to Ukraine: Rishi Sunak

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in a recent interview for an Italian publication The Republic stated that Great Britain is not currently considering sending its troops to Ukraine. He emphasized that the issue of military presence in Ukraine is not under consideration, but Great Britain is ready to support Ukraine in other ways.

In his comment on the decision to use funds from frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, Sunak demonstrated that “the G7 is ready for anything.”

He also called on the international community to increase investment in defense, as the situation in the world, according to him, has become dangerous and unpredictable.

In another context, responding to a question about the use of Western weapons against targets on the territory of Russia, the Prime Minister stated that any use of missiles must comply with international humanitarian laws.

Earlier it was reported that British Stormer HVM anti-aircraft missile systems were handed over to the Ukrainian military. It is worth noting that Great Britain is preparing a historic aid package for Ukraine, which has a significant leverage for support in the defense sector.
