Ukrainians witnessed a strange glow: Europe launched the Ariane-6 rocket (video)

On July 9, the European Space Agency (ESA) launched the new European heavy-class Ariane 6 launch vehicle, which could be observed in various regions of Ukraine. About this reported on the ESA website.
It is known that the rocket made its first flight from the European Spaceport in French Guiana.
“An absolutely new rocket is launched infrequently, and success is far from always guaranteed. I have the honor of witnessing the historic moment of the actual restoration of Europe’s access to space,” said the agency’s General Director Josef Aschbacher.
At night, residents of various regions of Ukraine began to publish photos of an unusual glow in the sky on the Internet. The Alpha Centauri channel reported that they observed the flyby of Ariane 6’s second stage.
The European single-use launch vehicle is operated by Arianespace. It was developed and manufactured by ArianeGroup on behalf of the European Space Agency. The first launch of the rocket was supposed to take place in 2020, but the program faced delays.
French President Emmanuel Macron called the missile launch a source of pride for France and Europe. “The first launch of Ariane 6 is a success! Huge congratulations to the teams who made the seemingly impossible possible. Mission accomplished,” he wrote in X.
