Poland offers Ukraine a new energy sales package

The Polish Council for Cooperation with Ukraine has developed an energy package for the sale of additional volumes of electricity to Ukraine. Commissioner for the Recovery of Ukraine, Pavel Koval, emphasized that this package is aimed at supporting the Polish economy through energy exports, while providing Ukraine with critically needed assistance in the energy crisis. About this informs Bankier.pl.

“This package is beneficial, because it creates the potential of Polish exports, allows the consumption of accumulated coal, allows the launch of Polish industry, allows earning. But the most important thing is that it allows Ukrainians to survive.”, – believes Pavel Koval.

According to Koval, the issue of energy will be decisive for Ukraine in the coming months, as Russia has destroyed a significant part of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The Russian Federation destroyed 70 to 80% of energy facilities were damaged or destroyed, which may cause a wave of energy refugees if the situation does not change. To prevent this negative scenario, Poland is ready to provide Ukraine with significant amounts of energy.

“You only need to have a partner in Ukraine, and you can get a good loan or a loan guarantee. And energy projects will progress one hundred percent”, – added Koval.

We will remind, earlier the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko noted that in the absence of new serious attacks from Russia, Ukraine will be able to go through the winter without serious problems with the supply of electricity. However, if such attacks happen, the consequences can be unpredictable.

Experts also predicted that in the case of intense attacks, possible power outages could last from 12 to 20 hours a day, depending on the conditions.
