Poland plans to prepare all men in case of war

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the government is working on creating a model of military training for every adult male in the country in case of war. About this informs RMF FM.
Tusk emphasized that work is underway on large-scale military training for every adult male in Poland.
“By the end of the year, we want to have a ready-made model so that every adult man in Poland is prepared for war,” – he emphasized.
According to him, intensive training should ensure that in the event of an armed conflict, those who did not serve in the army could become full-fledged soldiers. Tusk also drew attention to the size of the Ukrainian army, which is resisting a full-scale invasion by Russia. He noted that currently the Ukrainian army has about 800,000 people, while the Russian army has about 1.3 million.
“Today we are talking about the fact that Poland should have an army of half a million people together with reservists”, – noted the Prime Minister.
At the same time, Tusk clarified that military training for women will not be mandatory, but they will be able to join at their own will.
