PrivatBank provided Naftogaz with UAH 4.7 billion to support the energy sector

PrivatBank provided a loan in the amount of UAH 4.7 billion to Naftogaz Group for the accumulation of the necessary volumes of gas in underground storage facilities on the eve of the 2025/2026 heating season. .

“This is the first loan agreement between companies and the largest financing provided by the State Bank to the energy sector of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war”, the bank said in a statement.

PrivatBank emphasized that it has supported the Ukrainian energy industry since the first months of the Russian invasion and continues to direct resources to the stable operation of critical industries in difficult conditions.

“This is not just a credit solution, but a contribution to the stability of the state and the well-being of millions of Ukrainians.” – said Yevhen Zaigraev, member of the board of PrivatBank in charge of corporate business and SMEs.

He also emphasized that business and the state act as a single force to support the population.

It will be recalled that on July 11, it became known that PrivatBank signed the largest agreement on the Ukrainian financial market with the EBRD, which enables Ukrainian businesses to attract up to 600 million euros in new loans.

As of July 17, natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storages exceeded 9 billion cubic meters. Repositories are 29.2% full. This is 13.9% or 1.45 billion cubic meters less than on the same date last year.
